Sexuality. It can be a source of discomfort for many parents, especially when it involves a child or a teenager's behaviour. However, these behaviours do serve as additional opportunities to address sexuality with girls and boys. When used as an opportunity to educate, moments of discomfort can transform into tangible occasions of teaching, reiterating or promoting healthy values, attitudes and skills in regards to sexuality.

la Sexducation help parents capitalize on these teachable moments by providing knowledge and developing healthy aptitudes and communication skills related to sexuality education of girls and boys.

la
Sexducation
is an educational workshop service for parents. It provides at-home workshops for mothers and fathers interested in learning how to effectively provide sexuality education with children ages 0 to 17 years old. The workshops offer a one-on-one interaction with a sexologist who will offer information, tools and skills relevant to an applicable, positive and healthy sexuality education. A learning and enriching experience to take place within the parent's own environment.

All workshops are created and facilitated by a sexologist. They are interactive, informative and comprehensive. The workshops look at sexuality as a multidimensional, fluid, lifelong, complex and integral aspect of every human being's sense of identity, social well-being and personal health1.

Our Mission

la Sexducation commits to empowering parents to become proactive, positive and effective primary sexual health educators in their child's life by providing up-to-date and accurate information, practical strategies, straight forward and open discussions, concrete and applicable activities, accessible resources and tools, realistic exercises, professional insight, and informative material pertaining to children/teenagers' sexuality.

Our sole purpose is to encourage parents to practice, implement and integrate sexuality education within their daily routine and within their child's overall education, from their formative years and into adulthood.

la Sexducation believes a parent's proactive approach in girls and boys sex education is a strong contributing factor, not only in the avoidance of negative sexual health outcomes (i.e violence, abuse, exploitation, coercion, STIs) but also in the development and maintenance of healthy outcomes (i.e strong self-esteem, effective communication and decision-making skills, positive body image, a sense of responsibility, critical thinking, safer sexual practices and behaviours, confidence, self-love, healthy values). Parents exercising sexuality education will strongly impact a child/teenager's overall health and well-being.
